Will clarifying Shampoo help my hair?

I recently used a new conditioner which left my hair oily. This was a week and a half ago.

I have tried to wash it out but it just gets oilier every time i try.

I have been told that a clarifying shampoo would get rid of this problem. Is this true? And will it cause dandruff or lightn my hair? Will clarifying Shampoo help my hair?
Wow - that must have been some conditioner you used! I'd save that one for when your hair is severely damaged and use a lightweight conditioner for every day.

A clarifying shampoo should help, since they are designed to remove build up of just about anything. That includes chlorine, hairspray and other styling products, or too much oil. A good clarifying shampoo can help add volume and restore bounce and shine to your hair, and should not cause dandruff or lighten your hair.

you probably didn't rinse your hair very well from the conditioner. honestly, shampoo is literally just shampoo.they use names for shampoos like ''clarifying'' or ''volume''. so i suggest you buy Ajax dish soap [its excellent on hair.you never get dandruff.ever.],wash your hair with it [dont get it in your eyes lol],and rinse very very well.obviously, dont buy that conditioner again.the soap should solve the problem ^^
your hair don't become oily by using a conditioner.

don't use conditioner if your hair are oily.

don't use a clarifying shampoo, go for a shampoo formulated especially for oily hair. and if u stay sea side, wash hair daily.......else alternate days is a must.
Clarifying shampoo is used to get dirt and product buildup off of the hair so it should work to get rid of the oil. It won't cause dandruff or lighten your hair.
