Clarifying shampoo take out hair color ? Professional advice ?

I dyed my hair a rich mahogany and it's too dark and bright .... will clarifying shampoo take out or fade some of the color ?

should I dye it back to my regular color (which is a lighter medium brown )?

I dyed it 2 days ago how long should I wait to dye it again ?

Professional advice please !!

I know I asked this already but no one answered the other one ...Clarifying shampoo take out hair color ? Professional advice ?
hey, id be glad to help. i am 23 years old and have been a stylist fot 3 years now.

your hair will tone down some just by washing.. clarifying shampoo or not- doesnt make much of a difference at all.

it sounds as though you dyed it yourself..which is never a good idea. To make sure you get the shade you want.. I would go ahead and get it dyed back to the color you want AT A SALON!

a correction is hard enough to accomplish.. let alone on your own. thats my advice.

and you really should wait about a week at least. while you are at the salon get a deep conditioning treatment-this will help your hair from breaking. *and always remember to use a heat protectant spray before blowdrying or straightening..this will also keep your hair healthy.

sorry for your bad experience! =( goodluck!!Clarifying shampoo take out hair color ? Professional advice ?
Don't panic it will eventually fade.

No, clarifying shampoo has one job and that is to remove buildup of gels, mousses and other products that weigh down your hair with regular use

If you want to tone the colour down I suggest using John Frieda's colour glaze in brilliant brunette which enhances the brown tones in your hair and will soften the redness of the dye.

I would wait until the dye fades or gets brighter (which is VERY unlikely) until then tie it back and take care of it as usual.

DO NOT attempt to do anything silly or trying any other dyes/products that you THINK may help as it will possibly make it worse and as dyed hair is very sensitive it will most likely just cause more damage.

If you can not bear it any longer go and talk to your hairdresser and say your unhappy most will attempt to fix it for you with a TONER (ask them to use a toner to tone it down to the colour of your choice) and most will happily refund you.

Good luck and don't panic im sure it looks fine and your just panicking everyone hates it at first glance becuase its sucha change!
Depending on if its a box color or professional. If it was a professional color your stylist should've handled that when it was washed out. If it was a at home kit you should use a conditioning shampoo cause box color is very harsh on your hair but after a few shampoos reds fade n e way. Wash it one or 2 times and see if it gets to how you want it. If you wanna to change your hair back to its original color I would wait about a month to be on the safe side but within that month keep it conditioned. To much coloring can make your hair drier and it could start backing REALLY bad and FAST!!
