Clarifying shampoo to lighten my dyed dark-brown hair?

so my hair color is naturally a dark dark blonde.


ive been dying it different colors, i get tired of the color.


i had dyed it a light blonde after having it black.


then i missed it being brown.


so i bought a box of dark brown dye, but it turned out i missed a couple blonde chunks and i ended up having to dye it again, making it more black than brown.





if i use clarifying shampoo, will it make the brown lighter?


if so, how much lighter? and how many time do i need to use it for this to work?

The clarifying shampoo will only help if the dye isn't permanent. If it's a wash-in/wash-out dye, washing with a clarifying shampoo might speed up the process of washing it out.
